Francesco Antonio Marino, known as Frank Marino, was born on November 20, 1954, in Montreal, Canada and is a guitarist and singer. Marino began playing guitar around the age of 13 after initially playing drums since he was five. His breakthrough came with the formation of Mahogany Rush, a Canadian hard rock band where he served as the frontman. The band gained moderate popularity in the 1970s, charting on Billboard and touring extensively. Towards the end of the decade, Marino began releasing solo albums, including The Power Of Rock And Roll (1981) and Juggernaut (1982). Mahogany Rush reformed multiple times throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Marino announced his retirement from music in June 2021 due to an undisclosed medical condition.
