Franck Vigroux is a French guitarist, composer, and director born on May 14, 1973, in Marvejols, Lozère, France. He began producing musical projects in 2003, combining cut-up techniques, improvisation, and composition with musicians such as Marc Ducret, Bruno Chevillon, Michel Blanc, and Hélène Breschand. His early collaborations include the album Triste Lilas (2005). Vigroux's work evolved from electroacoustic music to live electronic performances and noise, collaborating with artists like Elliott Sharp, Zeena Parkins, Joey Baron, Ellery Eskelin, Mika Vainio, and Reinhold Friedl. In 2007, he directed the experimental film Dust, and in 2009, he was awarded the "La Villa Médicis hors les murs" program in New York, leading to the duo Transistor with Ben Miller. His extensive discography includes notable albums such as Data 451 (2007), Pituitary Desert (2007), Radioland: Radio-Activity Revisited (2015), Ballades sur lac gelé (2020), Atotal (2022), and Grand Bal (2024).
