Biography

Arjuna Oakes, a New Zealand-born singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, and producer, debuted with the EP The Watcher in 2019. He followed with acclaimed releases, including First Nights and Final Days with Serebii on Innovative Leisure. Collaborating with composer John Psathas, he contributed to Future Lullaby and Sierra, and performed Safe Way to Fall with Orchestra Wellington. Alongside scoring theater works and writing for string quartets, Arjuna toured with Jordan Rakei, Moonchild, Allen Stone, and Nathan Haines. In 2024, he performed in Paris for New Zealandâs Olympic Team and was spotlighted as a Spotify Fresh Finds artist. His debut album While Iâm Distracted arrives May 2025.
