Frances England, born in San Francisco, California, is an American children's musician known for her indie-folk style. She began her career in 2006 with Fascinating Creatures, an album recorded with artist Billy Riggs as a fundraiser for her son's preschool, which went on to win the 2007 Oppenheim Platinum Award for Music. In 2008, she released Family Tree, earning both the Gold Parent's Choice Award and the Gold Nappa Award. Her subsequent albums, Mind of My Own (2010) and Blink of An Eye (2013), also received Gold Parent's Choice Awards. In 2016, her fifth album, Explorer of the World, garnered another Gold Parent's Choice Award, was ranked Number 1 in the annual Fids and Kamily Music Awards, and earned her 1st Grammy nomination for Best Children's Album on December 6, 2016.
