Ford Pier, born in 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts, is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Raised with a musical background, Pier began his career as part of various bands, including Jr. Gone Wild and Showbusiness Giants. His debut solo album Meconium was released in 1995. Throughout the late 1990s, Pier continued to release albums such as 12-Step Plan, 11-Step Pier (1998) and Pier-ic Victory (2004). He has collaborated with numerous artists including Carolyn Mark, Martin Tielli, and Neko Case. In addition to his solo work, Ford Pier has contributed orchestral and chamber arrangements for bands like New Pornographers and The Queer Songbook Orchestra.
