Joshua Kierkegaard G. Steele, born 15â¯Januaryâ¯1989 in Towcester, Northamptonshire, is a British DJ and producer who emerged on the electronic music scene as Fluxâ¯Pavilion. Growing up in the Midlands, Steele developed an early interest in bassâheavy sounds and began producing tracks in his teens. "I Can't Stop" single was released in 2010. His breakthrough came with the 2011 single "Bass Cannon", which garnered attention from the dubstep community and led to further releases such as "Superbad" and "Do Or Die" in 2011 and 2013 respectively. In 2013, Fluxâ¯Pavilion released the studio album Blowâ¯Theâ¯Roof on 25â¯January, followed by the Freeway EP on 8â¯November, the latter featuring collaborations with artists like Steveâ¯Aoki and Dillonâ¯Francis. The 2015 single "International Anthem" foreshadowed the album Tesla, released on 18â¯Septemberâ¯2015, which expanded his sound beyond traditional dubstep. Subsequent singles, including "Surrender" (2019) and "Emotional" (2023), continued to showcase his evolving style. Throughout his career, Fluxâ¯Pavilion has toured extensively, signed with the independent label Circus, coâfounded with Doctorâ¯P, DJâ¯SwanâE, and Earlâ¯Falconer, and maintained a presence on international club circuits. His tracks have featured in video games such as SSX and Need for Speed: Most Wanted, cementing his influence within electronic music culture.
