Biography
Flat Earth Society is a Belgian big band ensemble founded in 1997 and led by Peter Vermeersch. Known for its eclectic and experimental approach, the group has been involved in multidisciplinary performances combining music with theatre and circus. They gained recognition through performances in Belgium and abroad, including major cultural events such as Brugge 2002 and the Ruhr Triennale, and have collaborated with artists such as Uri Caine. Their discography spans numerous releases across different labels, including later albums such as Psychoscout (2006) and Cheer Me, Perverts (2009). In 2011, they toured the US for the first time.
