Biography

Fischer-Z is a British rock and new wave band. Since its inception in 1976 at Brunel University the group has undergone numerous line-up changes, formations, break-ups and reformations but has always had John Watts as its core member. The band's first LP was released to critical acclaim in Europe in 1979 before the first split in 1981. The reformation occurred in 1987 with the release of a number of uncharted LPs before another break-up and another reformation in 2002 and again in 2016. A new incarnation of the group released a new album and went on tour in 2019.
