Firehouse Five Plus Two was an American Dixieland jazz ensemble from California established in the late 1940s. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by Dixieland jazz and for consisting of members of the Disney animation department. The ensemble was founded by trombonist Ward Kimball and initially performed under the name Huggajeedy Eight. They achieved professional recognition for a career that began after performing lunchtime jam sessions at Walt Disney Animation Studios and restoring a 1916 fire engine which inspired their name. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording The Firehouse Five Plus Two Story, Part One (1951) released on the label Good Time Jazz. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing at Disney social functions and at Disneyland. They achieved professional recognition for appearing in the television special One Hour In Wonderland (1950) and the movie Grounds for Marriage (1951). Their discography included the studio recording At Disneyland (1962) and the live recording Live at Earthquake McGoon's (1970). The ensemble became inactive in 1972.
