Biography
Fiction Family, a musical collaboration, was formed as a collaboration between Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman and Nickel Creek guitarist Sean Watkins. The duo began writing songs together in 2005 and started recording their songs in mid-2006. Initially known as The Real SeanJon, they changed their name to Fiction Family in March 2008. Their self-titled debut album, Fiction Family, was released in 2008 by ATO Records and entered the charts at number 71. The album included the single "When Sheâs Near", which was made available for free download along with an accompanying music video. Following the release, Fiction Family embarked on their first tour from early January to February 7, 2009, featuring members Aaron Redfield and Tyler Chester. Their second album, Reunion, was released in 2013 by Rock Ridge Music.
