Biography

Sascha Reimann (born October 2, 1973, in Neuwied), better known as Ferris MC, is a musician, rapper, and actor from Germany. From 2008 to 2018, he was a permanent member of the band Deichkind under the name Ferris Hilton. As a teenager, Sascha Reimann grew up in Neumünster, Kiel, and Bremen-Tenever. Later, he would address his turbulent and unhappy childhood and adolescence in many of his songs. Together with FlowinImmO and DJ Pee, he founded the Freaks Association Bremen (F.A.B.) in the early 1990s. The group gained wider recognition through appearances on music television channels such as VIVA and MTV, as well as at festivals. In 1995, his debut album, Freaks, was released on the small hip-hop indie label MZEE. After moving to Hamburg in the late 1990s, the artist focused on his solo career. In 1999, he appeared as a guest vocalist on Afrob’s single “Reimemonster”. That same year, Ferris MC released his debut album, Asimetrie. The album reached number 17 on the German charts. Stylistically, Ferris MC moves between hard beats and techno, and every now and then, heavy guitar riffs even make an appearance in his songs. Two more albums followed: Fertich! (2001) and Audiobiographie (2003), two more albums followed. The single “Zur Erinnerung” reached No. 9 on the German Top 10 in 2003. That same year, he scored another top hit with Vanessa S. on the single “Fiesta”. After the album Ferris MC (2004), Ferris MC turned his attention to other projects and joined the band Deichkind. Together with the group, he released three successful albums. The Deichkind album Niveau weshalb warum (2015) became a number-one hit in Germany and Switzerland and reached number two in Austria. In 2018, Ferris MC left the group to focus on his solo career again. Just one year earlier, he had released the album Asilant. He followed up with Wahrscheinlich nie wieder vielleicht (2019), Missglückte Asimetrie (2020), and Alle hassen Ferris (2022), the artist released further albums. At the end of May 2024, the single “Trauma” announced the album Mortal Comeback, which was released shortly thereafter. Peaking at No. 17, the album reached the Top 20 on the German charts. In June 2026, he released the collaborative album Ein Fall für zwei with Afrob. The album climbed as high as No. 10 on the German charts.
