Biography

Sascha Reimann (born October 2, 1973 in Neuwied), better known as Ferris MC, is a musician, rapper and actor from Germany. From 2008 to 2018, he was a permanent member of the band Deichkind as Ferris Hilton. As a teenager, Sascha Reimann grew up in Neumünster, Kiel and Bremen-Tenever. Later, many of his songs will focus on his eventful and unhappy childhood and youth. Together with FlowinImmO and DJ Pee, he founded the Freaks Association Bremen (F.A.B.) in the early 1990s. The group became better known through appearances on music television on VIVA and MTV as well as at festivals. In 1995, Freaks released its debut album on the small hip-hop indie label MZEE. After moving to Hamburg at the end of the 1990s, the artist worked on his solo career. In 1999, he appeared as a guest singer on the single "Reimemonster" by Afrob. Ferris MC's debut album, Asimetrie, followed in the same year. The longplayer reaches number 17 in the German charts. Stylistically, Ferris MC moves between hard beats and techno, with even hard guitar riffs appearing in his songs from time to time. With Fertich! (2001) and Audiobiographie (2003), two further albums followed. The single "Zur Erinnerung" reached number 9 in the German Top 10 in 2003. In the same year, he scored another top hit with Vanessa S. and the single "Fiesta". After the album Ferris MC (2004), Ferris MC devotes himself to other projects and joins the band Deichkind. Together with the band, he released three successful albums. The Deichkind longplayer Niveau weshalb warum (2015) is a number 1 success in Germany and Switzerland and reaches number 2 in Austria. In 2018, Ferris MC leaves the band to focus on his solo career again. A year earlier, he released the album Asilant. With Wahrscheinlich nie wieder vielleicht (2019), Missglückte Asimetrie (2020) and Alle hassen Ferris (2022), the artist releases further albums. At the end of May 2024, the single "Trauma" announced the album Mortal Comeback, which was released shortly afterwards. At number 17, the longplayer reached the top 20 in the German charts.
