Fenn O'Berg, an improvisonational computer music trio, was formed in 1997 and consisted of Christian Fennesz, Peter Rehberg, and Jim O'Rourke. The group first appeared at the Nickelsdorf Festival in 1997, launching a touring career that introduced portable computing stages to venues that rarely booked such acts. Their debut album The Magic Sound of Fenn O'Berg (1999) was followed by The Return of Fenn O'Berg (2002), Magic & Return (2009), and In Stereo (2010), the latter featuring the track "Floating My Boat" sampling Neil Young. Subsequent releases included Live in Japan (2010) and In Hell (2012).
