Biography

The Spanish hip-hop act Facto Delafé y las Flores Azules started in 2002 when Oscar D’Aniello (known as “delafé”) joined forces with Marc Barrachina (known as “Facto”). They won a local talent contest in 2003, and were soon made a trio with the addition of Helena Miquel (known as “las flores azules”). They established a presence on radio with the 2004 track “Mar el poder del Mar”, which would appear on their 2005 debut album Facto Delafé y las Flores Azules vs. El Monstruo de las Ramblas, an LP that showcased their fusion of hip-hop beats with indie pop hooks and appealing choruses. They signed with Warner Brothers’ Spanish label, and that major would release their next four albums, 2007’s Facto delafé y las flores azules en la luz de la mañana, 2010’s Delafé y las Flores Azules vs. las trompetas de la muerte, 2013’s De Ti Sin Mi, and 2014’s Estonosepara.
