Eviatar Banai, born on February 8, 1973, in Beersheba, Israel, is a singer known for his work in chamber pop. He studied piano extensively and directed a comedy film during his military service. After moving to Tel Aviv, Banai began performing in small clubs and released his debut album, Eviatar Banai, in 1997, which sold over 50,000 copies. His subsequent albums include Omed Al Neyar (Standing on Paper) in 2005, Layla Kayom Yair (Night as the Day Does Shine) in 2009, and Yafa Kalevana (Pretty as the Moon) in 2013. In October 2018, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Jewish-Israeli culture from Education Minister Naftali Bennett.
