Biography
Enda Scahill, born in Corofin, County Galway, Ireland, is an Irish banjo player. He began his career as a musician and songwriter, playing various instruments including the mandolin and tenor guitar. Scahill's breakthrough came when he became a four-time All-Ireland Champion. In 2006, he released the album Humdinger with Paul Brock, which was awarded Irish Music Album of the Year by The Irish Times and released by Compass Records in Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout his career, Scahill has collaborated with notable artists such as The Fureys, Frankie Gavin, and The Chieftains. He is also a former member of The Brock McGuire Band and the founder of We Banjo 3, which includes Martin Howley, David Howley, and his brother Fergal Scahill. He joined the Italian-American band Gadan in 2024 and performed major festivals in the United States.
