Broadcast from January 7, 2015 on the Fox channel, the American TV series Empire arrives in mainland France on November 17 on W9, preceded by an advantageous reputation and steadily rising ratings. The story revolves around a rap veteran, Empire Records producer Lucious Lyon, who, suffering from an incurable disease, must choose his successor from among his three heirs, giving rise to several soundtracks supervised by Timbaland. On the menu of the volumes covering the first two seasons of the series, released in France almost simultaneously on November 16 and December 4, 2015, are original songs performed by the cast, including Jussie Smollett and rapper Yazz (Bryshere Yazz Gray), or established artists such as Courtney Love, Estelle, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Juicy J or Pitbull.
