Emma Louise Blackery, born on November 11, 1991, in Basildon, Essex, England, is a singer-songwriter known for her work in pop rock and punk music. Before launching her career as a musician and YouTuber, she worked as a waitress. Her debut demo-EP Human Behaviour was released in early 2012 exclusively on Bandcamp. In July 2013, Blackery released her first official EP, Distance, which included the music video for "Go the Distance". Her second EP, Perfect, was released on November 11, 2014, with its title track topping the UK Independent Singles Breakers Chart. In 2016, she released "Sucks to Be You" and toured with Busted. Blackery's fifth EP, Magnetised, was released in May 2017 and peaked at number five on the UK Independent Albums Chart. She founded her independent record label, RWG Records, in 2018 and released her debut studio album, Villains. She has released various singles and EPs since then, including My Arms are Open (2020) and Cannot Help Myself (2023).
