Biography

Emily Bear, born Emily Jordan Bear on August 30, 2001, in Rockford, Illinois, is an American pianist, composer, and singer. She began playing the piano at age two and debuted as a pianist at the Ravinia Festival by five. In 2008, she performed at the White House for President George W. Bush. Bear's notable album releases include Five Years Wise (2007), The Love in Us (2008), Once Upon a Wish (2008), and Diversity (2013). She collaborated with Quincy Jones, who produced her album Diversity. Bear composed the theme song "Magic is Calling" for Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary in 2021. In 2022, she won a Grammy Award for her work on The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical (2022), co-written with Abigail Barlow and Darren Criss.
