Ellinoora â born Anni Ellinoora Leikas on January 26, 1994, in Oulo, Finland - is an award-winning pop singer and songwriter. She began her studies at Madetojan Musikkilukio, a music high school in Oulo. In 2011, while still at school, she signed a record contract with Warner Music Finland aged only 17. On leaving school, she continued to study music at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Konservatoriossa and released her first single âSellainen Miesâ in 2013. Ellinoora's first album Villi Lapsi was released in 2016. The album reached Number 2 in the Finnish Albums Chart and several singles were released, including three top 20 hits in the Finnish Singles chart. The single which reached the highest position was âElefantin Painoâ, which made it to Number 2. In 2018, Ellinoora participated in season nine of the Finnish TV show Vain Elämää from which she had two single releases, âHoneyâ (featuring Pyhimys) and âTällä Kadullaâ. She released the single âSinä 4everâ in 2019, which reached Number 2 in the Finnish Singles Chart. The single was lifted from her second album, Vaaleanpunainen Vallankumous, which was issued in 2019. The following year, she won an Emma Award (the Finnish equivalent of the Grammy Awards) for Female Soloist of the Year. Ellinooraâs third album, Viimeinen Romantikko, was released in 2021 and featured the single âGröna Lundâ.
