Biography
Raised on the Gulf Coast of the United States, American singer-songwriter Elley Duhé (February 14, 1992) grew up among musicians, many of whom were active in the New Orleans music scene. After getting her first guitar from her father at the age of 14, she began performing at coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and private parties. Shortly afterward, she dropped out of high school and moved to Austin, where she spent three years working on advancing her music career. Elley Duhé then relocated to Los Angeles and released her debut single âMillenniumâ (2016), a collaborative track with electronic producer Tarro that quickly racked up plays by the millions on streaming and video-sharing platforms. This led to extensive media coverage, including an exclusive premiere of her second single âImmortalâ by Billboard. She followed up with the 2017 single âFly,â featuring production by ILLA and Cool & Dre. Her first charting single arrived in 2018 with the Zedd collaboration âHappy Now,â which climbed to Number 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold in the US and Canada. That same year, she also featured on Gryffinâs âTie Me Downâ and dropped her debut EP, Dragon Mentality. Subsequently, Elley Duhé remained active through a series of standalone singles, most notably âEasyâ (2019), âLove Me Hardâ (2020), and âKids of the Nightâ (2021).
