Elise Madeline LeGrow is a Canadian singer and songwriter born on June 4, 1987, in Toronto. She received a publishing agreement from Sony/ATV Music Publishing following a performance at the 2009 NXNE festival. In 2012, she released the track âNo Good Womanâ, which reached number 6 on the Nielsen BDS Adult Contemporary chart. LeGrow signed with Awesome Music and S-Curve in 2016 and recorded her debut studio album, Playing Chess, which appeared on February 16, 2018. The recording featured soul covers of titles from the Chess Records catalog and included contributions from Questlove and the Dap-Kings. The album was produced by Steve Greenberg, Michael Mangini, and Betty Wright. In 2020, she released the single âEvanâ, followed by her second studio recording, Grateful, in 2021. She collaborated with DJ Bakermat on the 2022 track âTemptationâ, released through the Big Top Amsterdam label. LeGrow also performed as a guest vocalist on the Cat Dealers recording âHey Hey (Heard You Say)â in 2022.
