Elias Stemeseder, born on October 1, 1990, in Salzburg, Austria, is a modern jazz pianist. He began learning classical piano at age nine and started studying at the Anton Bruckner Private University during high school. In 2015, he completed his studies at the Jazz Institute Berlin and subsequently moved to New York. Notable albums include include Jagged Spheres (2013) and Light/Tied (2020), which featured collaborations with Max Andrzejewski and a chamber ensemble. He has also performed solo concerts at various festivals, including the Nuoro Jazz Festival and the 12points Festival Dublin. Stemeseder's notable collaborations include work with Jim Black Trio, John Zorn's Bagatelles, and Anna Webber's Percussive Mechanics. In 2022, he released Piano Solo and in 2023, he received the German Jazz Prize for his contributions to jazz music.
