Biography

Electrocute, an American-German rock band, was founded in 2002 by Nicole Morier and Mia Dime. The group emerged from the vibrant electropop/electroclash scene in Berlin. Their initial releases included the EP A Tribute to Your Taste (2003) and the album Troublesome Bubblegum (2004). After Dime's departure, Morier continued touring with Holly Doll. The duo played notable festivals like Big Day Out in 2005 and met DJ Mindy, a.k.a. Legs Le Brock. In 2004, Electrocute contributed "Bikini Bottom" to The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie soundtrack. Their song "Kleiner dicker Junge" (2004) was featured in the 2005 film The Beat That My Heart Skipped. The band then released the EP On the Beat (2008) featuring Junkie XL and the album Double Diamond (2009) exclusively in Japan. They also appeared on soundtracks for the videogame FIFA 09 and television show Guida astrologica per cuori infranti.
