Biography

Rafael Conde Santiago, known professionally as El Titi, was born on September 10, 1938, in Talavera de la Reina, Spain. As a variety artist, he gained prominence during the Spanish Transition period. His first notable performance occurred at the age of 19 when he appeared in the Alkázar theater in Valencia with the show Lluvia de estrellas. El Titi's breakthrough came with songs like "Libérate" and "El Gitano Colorines", which championed the free expression of homosexuality. He released several albums, including Rafael Conde "El Titi" (1966), Noche de Fallas (1975), and Mi Vida Privada (1976). His music was particularly popular in the Valencian Community, where he became a cultural icon. El Titi passed away on August 19, 2002.
