Biography

Egoexpress, a German electronic music group from Hamburg, was formed in 1995. The band consisted of Mense Reents and Jimi Siebels alias Jimi Orgl, both of whom had backgrounds in various indie bands. Egoexpress released their debut EP Egoexpress on April 12th, 1995, followed by another EP titled Zwei on July 1st, 1995.The group's first full-length album, Foxy, was released in May 1996. Known for their rock-influenced electronic sound and live performances, Egoexpress became pioneers of rock-infused electronica. Their subsequent albums included Telefunken (November 30th, 1998), Bieker (September 20th, 1999), and Here Comes The Night (April 10th, 2000). Egoexpress also contributed to film soundtracks, with songs like "Weiter" from the movie Absolute Giganten in 1999. The band's music has been featured in various films including Der Fischer und seine Frau and Magical Mystery oder: Die Rückkehr des Karl Schmidt.
