Biography
Earthling Society was an English space rock band formed in Fleetwood, England, in January 2004 by vocalist and guitarist Fred Laird, drummer Jon Blacow, and bassist David Fyall. Their debut album Albion (2005) was released by Nasoni Records in August after initial plans with Mylodon Records fell through. The band added keyboard player Joe Orban and released Plastic Jesus and the Third Eye Blind (2006), following a tour supporting Julian Cope. In April 2007, they released their third album Tears of Andromeda, Black Sails Against the Sky, which coincided with their debut appearance at the Roadburn Festival. Earthling Society released subsequent albums including Beauty and the Beast (2007) and Sci-Fi Hi-Fi (2009).
