Biography

Breabach, a Scottish folk music band, was formed in 2005, consisting of Calum MacCrimmon, Megan Henderson, Ewan Robertson, James Lindsay, and Conal McDonagh. Their debut album The Big Spree was released in 2007, followed by The Despeate Battle of the Birds (2010) and Bann (2012). Breabach received nominations for Best Group at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2011 and won Scottish Folk Band of the Year in 2012 and Live Act of the Year in 2013 at the Scots Trad Music Awards. The band has also performed at notable events such as Fairport's Cropredy Convention, the Isle of Skye Music Festival, and WOMAD. Their later albums include Astar (2016), Frenzy of the Meeting (2018) and Fàs (2022). The band also contributed to the soundtrack of the animated film Dùsgadh in 2021.
