Biography

Dasha was born in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, on January 30, 1993. The eldest of five siblings, Dasha Martinon (real name) was introduced to music by members of the Kann'ida group. She learned to play the ka with Sonny Troupé's father and discovered her vocation as a singer. Then in the sports-study section, she gave up basketball to pursue her career, releasing her first tracks in the early 2010s. In 2015, her debut album J'y Crois was released, featuring collaborations with Yannick Cabrion, Methi's, Keros-N and Jacques d'Arbeau. This was followed by tracks like "Evou" (2019), "Viv Li" with Perle Lama and Fuckly (2020), "Laisse tomber" with Jmax (2021), "Mi Amor" with DJ Wiwi (2022), "Ton ombre" with Priscillia and "Jouer" (2022). After the 2023 trio "Sonje Mwen", with Tayoo and Staniski, the following year saw the release of "Elle a dit oui", which reached No. 23 in the French overseas charts.
