Biography

Dustdevils was a noise rock band based in New York City. The group was formed in 1984 after Michael Duane met Jaqi Dulany. They relocated to Leeds between 1986 and 1988, during which time Keith Gregory joined as their bassist. Their recordings include the albums Seeds in the Spoil (1987), Rhenyard's Grin (1987), and The Dropping Well (1987). After releasing the album Gutter Light (1988), the group returned to New York City and released the single “... Is Big Leggy” (1989) and the album Geek Drip (1989). Their final album, Struggling Electric and Chemical (1990), featured a cover of the song “Hip Priest” and included contributions from bassist Mark Ibold. Dulany and Duane split in 1993, and the band disbanded during the 1990s.
