Big Baby Driver is the solo project of singer-songwriter Choi Sae-bom, named after her favorite acoustic guitar model, Big Baby. Previously, Choi was part of the band Atombook, which debuted in 2002 with the EP Hello? and released their first full album Warm Hello from the Sun in 2008. Their song "Every Place is your Playground" was featured in the 2009 drama Triple. Big Baby Driver, showcasing Choi's personal taste in folk, blues, and old pop, released her self-titled debut album in 2011. The album, Big Baby Driver, includes a cover of Blind Blakeâs early 20th-century blues song "You Gonna Quit Me Blues," demonstrating her unique interpretation of the genre. Big Baby Driver's music has been featured in various drama OSTs like Gentleman's Dignity, The Heirs, Level 7 Civil Servant, and many others, receiving widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally with songs like "Spring I Love You Best" and "Here For You." In 2014, she released her second album A Story of a Boring Monkey and a Baby Girl. In 2017, she collaborated with cellist Lee Hye-ji on the EP Big Baby Driver X E Hyeji, which featured natural live arrangements of guitar, cello, and vocals across six tracks. By 2020, Choi had taken on full production roles, releasing her third album Love, her first with all lyrics in Korean. Later that year, she and Lee Hye-ji released a sequel EP Love, The Endless Story. In March 2025, she released the single "Spring Whistle".
