Born on January 31, 1976, in South Korea, Choo Seung Youp is a singer and the front man and leader of the band Akdong. In addition to his roles as a singer and band leader, he is involved in a variety of music-related activities, including songwriting, arranging, and producing. He also runs the Akdong Practical Music Academy with other band members, named after their band. In October 2023, he appeared on Singer Again 3 as contestant number 59, where his electrifying guitar performance and distinctive high-tone vocals earned him a spot in the TOP 7, eventually finishing in 7th place. His singles include "Dududu" (2018), "ok with you" (2024) and "Dirt" (2025).
