Ian Greenidge, known professionally as Donae'o, was born in London, United Kingdom. He is a British singer, rapper, and producer of Ghanaian and Guyanese descent. Donae'o began his music career with the release of "Falling" in 1999, followed by several singles and remixes until the hit "I'm Fly", which reached Number 129 on the UK Singles Chart. His debut studio album Party Hard was released the same year. Following albums include Indigo Child (2013) and The Forest of Zephron (2014). Throughout his career, Donae'o has collaborated with numerous British musicians, including The Streets, Giggs, Lethal Bizzle, Dizzee Rascal, Jme, and Calvin Harris. In 2016, he produced and featured on Giggs' single "Lock Doh", which peaked at Number 52 on the UK Singles Chart and was certified Gold by BPI Music in April 2017 with 400,000 sales. Donae'o released his mixtape Sixteen in 2017, featuring collaborations with Fredo, Young T & Bugsey, Ghetts, Wretch 32 and the late Cadet. In 2023, the album In the Past, Vol. 1 featured collaborations from Scotti Dee, Ekeno, and Lili Caseley. In August 2025 was released Spectrum, including the hit "Nights Like This", which peaked at number 59 on UK Singles Sales chart.
