Biography
Don Caballero, an American instrumental rock group based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was formed in 1991. The original lineup consisted of Damon Che on drums, Mike Banfield on guitar, and Pat Morris on bass, with Ian Williams joining as a second guitarist in 1992. Their single âOur Caballero / My Ten Year Old Lady is Giving It Awayâ was released by Touch and Go Records in 1993, followed by their first album For Respect. The band's innovative sound, characterized by complex compositions and unconventional time signatures, quickly gained them critical acclaim. In 1995, they released their second album, Don Caballero 2, which solidified their status as pioneers in the math rock genre. Don Caballero decided to disband in 2000 after their tour, which was cut short after a car accident, but reformed in 2003 with an entirely new lineup.
