Biography

Dominoe, a German rock band, was formed in 1987 in Grafing bei München by guitarist Robert Papst and singer Jörg Sieber. The band's members had prior musical experience in various local bands and established their own recording studio before adopting the name Dominoe. Their debut single "Here I Am" became a significant breakthrough, reaching number 4 on the German charts in February 1988 after being featured in a Renault commercial. This success was followed by the release of their debut album Keep In Touch and subsequent singles such as "Let’s Talk About Life" and "Family Man". The band's second album, The Key, released in 1990, marked a period of transition with Robert Papst leaving the band to focus on production. Dominoe disbanded shortly after a tour in 1990. In 2002, Robert Papst and Jörg Sieber reunited for the album No Silence ... No Lambs, featuring new musicians including Jane Bogaert. The band continued releasing albums, including Naked But Dressed in 2012, which featured guest musician Jimi Jamison. Their sixth album, The Lost Radio Show, released in 2018, consisted of live recordings from a 2008 radio session that were partially lost and later recovered. 2022 saw the release of the LP No Silence No Lambs – Director’s Cut.
