Dog Faced Hermans were a Scottish post-punk band from Edinburgh formed in 1986. The ensemble consisted of vocalist Marion Coutts, guitarist Andy Moor, bassist Colin McLean, and drummer Wilf Plum. They emerged from the anarcho-punk scene and incorporated unconventional instrumentation such as the trumpet and oil drums. Their recording career includes the extended plays Unbend (1987) and Humans Fly (1988), and the studio recording Everyday Timebomb (1989). After relocating to Amsterdam in 1990, they collaborated with the group The Ex on the split recording Treat (1990). Their discography includes the studio albums Mental Blocks For All Ages (1991), Hum of Life (1993), and Those Deep Buds (1994). The ensemble disbanded in 1995 after performing nearly 450 concerts.
