Lorena Braga Gomes Simpson, known professionally as Lorena Simpson, was born on March 30, 1987 in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. She started her career as a professional dancer at 17, later transitioning into singing with the release of her first single "Feel da Funk" in 2008. That year, she collaborated with DJ and producer Filipe Guerra on the songs "Can't Stop Loving You" and "Brand New Day," establishing herself in the Brazilian electronic music scene. In 2013, Simpson released her debut EP Lorena Simpson. She has performed at major festivals across Brazil, Latin America, Europe, and the United States. In 2018, she introduced her "Amazonian Pop" sound, blending pop with Amazonian cultural influences. Her single "Chama Que Vem" in 2020 further solidified this direction.
