Biography
Thomas Koch, known professionally as DJ T., is a German DJ, electronic music producer, and journalist. Koch began his musical career in the 1980s, adopting the pseudonym DJ T. in 1987. After founding the music magazine Groove in 1989 and serving as a resident DJ at clubs in Frankfurt am Main, Koch moved to Berlin. In 2002, he co-founded the record label Get Physical Music alongside producers Patrick Bodmer, Philipp Jung, and the group Booka Shade. His debut studio album, Boogie Playground, was released in 2005. Koch followed this release with the studio albums The Inner Jukebox (2009) and The Pleasure Principle (2011). He also collaborated with Steve Bug on the single âMonsterbazeâ (2000). Since 2017, Koch also performs as a DJ for Ecstatic Dance events under the name Mathami.
