Biography
SLK, a British grime crew from Northwest London, formed in the early 2000s under the moniker So Low Key and Street Life Kings. The group comprised members such as Flirta D, Van Damage, and DJ Vectra, among others, and quickly established a presence in the local underground scene. Their breakthrough came with the 2004 single "Hype! Hype!", produced by Sticky and featuring Lady Envy, which reached number 22 on the UK Singles Chart and number 3 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. The accompanying video later appeared in Complex magazineâs 2014 list of memorable Channel U videos. In 2006, the crew contributed a freestyle to the DVD Risky Roadz 2, and they engaged in notable rivalries with groups such as Rollâ¯Deep and Skepta. The group disbanded in 2007.
