Hani Adnan Al-Bader, born in 1993 in the United States, is an American DJ and electronic music producer known as Hani. He began DJing in Kuwait as a teenager, recording cassette mixes before relocating to Denver for college where he purchased synthesizers and drum machines from pawn shops and learned to produce acid house tracks for labels such as Planetâe and Yoshitoshi. His breakthrough came in 1999 with the single "Baby Wants to Ride", which topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart on 19â¯Februaryâ¯1999. Throughout the 2000s he released numerous remixes for highâprofile artists, including Michaelâ¯Jackson, JayâZ, and Aliciaâ¯Keys, and collaborated with vocalists Jasonâ¯Walker, Andreaâ¯Martin, and Faithâ¯Trent. In 2006 he founded Soterios Records to retain full control of his work. Haniâs production "Middle Of The Night" with Andreaâ¯Martin reached the top ten on the US dance charts in 2006, and his track "Foolish Mind Games" with Jasonâ¯Walker achieved a Billboard Number One position in 2015.
