Biography

Disidencia, a Spanish punk rock group from Onil, Alicante, was formed in 1996. The initial lineup included Txus on bass and vocals, Carlos-Jipi on guitar, and Maki on drums. Their debut release, La solución está en tus manos, was released in 1997. In 1998, Disidencia relocated to Sevilla to record their second album, Apología de lo evidente, with Fernando Madina of Reincidentes as producer. The band's lineup expanded to include Isma on rhythm guitar and their fourth album, Bienvenidos a Occidente (2002), marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration with producer Javier Abreu. Disidencia embarked on extensive tours across Europe and Mexico, performing at notable festivals such as Viña Rock and Baitu Rock and collaborating with bands like Boikot and Malos Vicios. In 2013, they released the EP ¿Hablarán las armas?, followed by La disciplina de la miseria in 2015.
