Biography
Discount were an American punk rock band from Vero Beach, Florida, formed in 1995. The founding lineup consisted of guitarist Ryan Seagrist, bassist James Parker, vocalist Eric Ervin, and drummer Justin Focco, with Alison Mosshart and Bill Nesper joining as lead vocalist and drummer respectively later that year. They released the debut studio album Ataxia's Alright Tonight (1996), followed by the recording Half Fiction (1997). The ensemble toured the United States with As Friends Rust and Dillinger Four in 1998 and embarked on a six-week European tour later that year. Their recording career includes the singles âHer Last Dayâ (1997) and âOpen Ended Aerialâ (1999). They released their final studio album, Crash Diagnostic (2000), and performed their final concert on August 19, 2000. Their discography includes the posthumous b-side compilations Singles No. 1 (2002) and Singles No. 2 (2002).
