Biography

Dirty Sanchez, an electroclash band formed in Los Angeles in 2001, consisted of comedy writer Jackie Beat, Mario Diaz, and DJ Barbeau. The group's initial breakthrough came with their EP Really Rich Italian Satanists, released in 2004. Their debut album, also titled Dirty Sanchez was released the same day. The band's tracks "Fucking on the Dancefloor", "Dig It" and "Asymmetric" appeared in Eon McKai's adult film Neu Wave Hookers. DJ Barbeau had previously DJed as an opening act for Duran Duran and Moby, while vocalist Jackie Beat toured with Roseanne Barr. The band also produced a remix of "Boom Box Chic" for fellow Los Angeles band Le Mans, featuring Liz E. of Freezepop.
