Die Zukunft, a German rock band, was formed in 2008 by musicians Knarf Rellöm, Bernadette La Hengst, and Oliver "Guz" Maurmann. The trio, all affiliated with the Hamburg School of music, came together for a special project to celebrate the birthday of the Freiburger Vinyl-Sub- Independent-Label Ritchie Records. Their debut album Sisters & Brothers was released in April 2010 through Ritchie Records and Trikont, funded by live performances. The band's lyrics, predominantly in German, often featured ironic-critical references to political and social issues. In June 2011, they released their second album, Die Zukunft Als Remixe.
