Dick Diver, an Australian indie pop band from Melbourne, Victoria, was formed in 2008. The group consisted of Rupert Edwards and Alistair McKay on guitar, Steph Hughes on drums, and Al Montfort on bass. Named after the character Dick Diver from F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel Tender Is the Night, the band released their debut EP, Arks Up, in November 2009. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut album, New Start Again, in October 2011, which was well-received and listed on several year-end best-of polls. In March 2013, Dick Diver released their critically acclaimed album, Calendar Days, which was named one of the best Australian albums of 2013 by The Guardian and appeared on numerous best-of lists. The band's final live performance was in December 2018; they reunited in mid-2025 for a series of shows at the Thornbury Theatre.
