Biography
Devin Charles Copeland, known professionally as Devin the Dude, was born on June 4, 1970, in Pontiac, Michigan. He moved to Houston after high school and formed the group Odd Squad with Rob Quest and record producer Jugg Mugg. The trio signed to Rap-A-Lot Records, releasing Fadanuf Fa Erybody!! in 1994. Copeland later joined Scarface's Facemob before embarking on a solo career in 1998. His debut album The Dude was released that year. Over the next two decades, Devin the Dude released several albums, including Just Tryin' ta Live (2002), To tha X-Treme (2004), Suite 420 (2010), and Acoustic Levitation (2017). Notable collaborations include appearances on Dr. Dre's "Fuck You" and Gucci Mane's "Kush Is My Cologne".
