Della Miles, born in Houston, Texas, is an American singer raised in a musical family. Her father, a jazz pianist, introduced her to Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald. During high school, she performed locally before moving to Los Angeles for Michael Jackson's musical Sisterella. She then became Whitney Houstonâs background singer and recorded an initial album under producer Barry Rosenthal. In 2003, Miles released her first full-length album Follow Me and the single "All My Life". She gained attention from Marius Müller-Westernhagen at a Mercedes-Benz presentation when he heard her singing from the room next door. This led to a tour and a contract with his Kunstflug label for the album Simple Days in 2010. Notable singles include "Uncivilized" and collaborations such as "Missionary Man" with Haddaway, and "Yalan" with Kent. In 2023, she released the political pop hymn "Dualar, Rüyalar, Umutlar Seninle" for the Turkish presidential election.
