Delia Cristina Martins Fischer, known as Delia Fischer, was born on August 29, 1964, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She began her musical education at age 13, studying piano under Luiz Eça. In 1986, she formed the "Duo Fênix" with Cláudio Dauelsberg, performing extensively in Brazil and Europe. After the duo disbanded, Delia Fischer released her debut album Antonio in 1999, featuring collaborations with prominent Brazilian jazz musicians. She toured Europe with Lisa Nilsson and the group "Avenida Atlântica" in 2006 and began staging music shows and musicals internationally in 2007. Fischer received the Shell Theatre Award in 2009 for her work on the musical Beatles num Céu de Diamantes. Her subsequent albums include Presente (2010) and Saudações Egberto (2011).
