De'Lacy was an American house-music group formed in the 1990s, consisting of De'Lacy Davis on percussion, Gary Griffin on bass and keyboards, Glenn Branch on drums and backing vocals, and Rainie Lassiter as lead vocalist. The group gained prominence with their debut single "That Look" released in 1996. Their breakthrough came with the release of the mini-album Hideaway in October 14th, 1994, which included the hit track "Hideaway". This song became one of their most famous works and was later remixed by Shadow Child for an EP released on September 25th, 2020. The group also released another notable single, "Hideaway 1998", in 1998. In the late 1990s, De'Lacy underwent a lineup change, leaving Davis, Branch, and Lassiter as the remaining members. In 2008, they collaborated with Italian songwriter and producer Marco Gee to produce "Bodyswereve", with additional production from Walter Brooks in New Jersey. The group continued to work with producers in both the UK and US, maintaining their presence in the electronic music scene.
