Biography

Formed in Glasgow in 2015 by Anna Shields and Blair Crichton, the band formerly known as Crystal evolved from a university duo into a full band with early releases such as "Sex Rich" (2019) and "Sugar Sweet" (2019). In 2020 the group renamed themselves Dead Pony, releasing "Everything Is Easy" and "Sharp Tongues" before signing with LAB Records. Their 2022 EP War Boys combined pop‑punk and nu‑metal elements, while 2023 saw the singles "MK Nothing" and "Cobra", leading to the debut album Ignore This (April 2024), which charted at number 8 on the Scottish Albums Chart and earned a nomination for Scottish Album of the Year. The band toured extensively, supporting acts such as Baby Strange and Chvrches, and received the P&J Live Spotlight Award in November 2023. In 2026, the band returned with the EP Eat My Dust!, which reached number 37 on the UK Albums Download chart.
