Biography

Dorian Electra Fridkin Gomberg, born on June 25, 1992, in Houston, Texas, is an American singer‑songwriter whose work blends electronic dance music with theatrical pop. Dorian Electra first attracted attention in 2010 with the viral video "I'm in Love with Friedrich Hayek", and later released the single "Control" in 2017, which highlighted feminist themes. In 2019 Dorian Electra self‑released his debut album Flamboyant, followed by the second studio album My Agenda, issued on October 16, 2020. The project featured collaborations with Rebecca Black, Faris Badwan, Pussy Riot, and Dylan Brady, and included singles such as "Gentleman" and "M'Lady". Dorian Electra toured the United States under the Flamboyant: Chapter I and Chapter II legs, though the latter was curtailed by the COVID‑19 pandemic. Subsequent releases include Fanfare, released on October  6, 2023, and the 2023 single "Freak Mode". Dorian Electra’s work is noted for its critique of toxic masculinity and its fusion of hyper‑pop, experimental, and performance‑art elements. In 2026, she returned with the self-titled album Dorian Electra, preceded by the singles “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “Feel Good Inc.,” “Young Folks,” and “Scarborough Fair,” alongside a new 2026 tour.
